fields were also located in the Okmulgee
area for emergency and overflow landings
Okmulgee was one of eighteen such con
tract schools that operated from somewhere
between 3 to 6 or more months, then were
shut down. It seems that all of the various
airfields had grass strips that they used.
For xamne in Jansvile. W. the contrac-
tor cleared and planted grass on three farm
fields to create the flying fields.
Glider Training was terminated by
